Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born 20th of August 1974 Aviano Italy) American actress, most well-known for her critically acclaimed performance of charming and naive characters. Adams was the daughter of a U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew within Castle Rock Colorado. At the beginning of 1990, Adams began performing and dancing professionally with the Boulder Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. Then in Minnesota in a small local theatre, she was a selected to play a role in a mock film documentary on beauty pageants titled Drop Dead Gorgeous. Following her successful screen debut with the role of an obnoxious but friendly contestant, Janet relocated to Los Angeles where she began a professional acting career. From June 1951 to September 22, 1962 she got married to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh began her filming career after signing a MGM deal in the middle of 1940s. She was discovered through actress Norma Shearer. Through the years that followed, she appeared in many well-known films like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
