Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford, an American actress and singer. In her early Broadway role, she was her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. In You Can't Take It With You She was the recipient of the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in an Play. Annaleigh Ashford Tony Award winner actor has worked alongside well-known directors and actors in stage films and television. Ashford continues to build on her award-winning career with her upcoming projects. Ashford next will star opposite Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive series Welcome to Chippendales which premieres the 22nd of November. Ashford has been working on Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust that stars Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. The film is it is a Hulu Original, the film is available on Disney Digital Television's channels. Ashford, who will appear opposite Josh Groban on Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in the March 2023 revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail (director) and Jeffrey Seller (producer), the same duo who produced Hamilton directed the production. Ashford appeared as Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's American Crime Story Impeachment, which is based on the scandal which involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp in the national security crisis. For two seasons, she was a star of CBS's hit comedy B Positive. She also appeared in the cult series, created by Marco Pennette Chuck Lorre, with the legendary actresses Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo Ben Vereen. Not a stranger to Broadway Ashford has won both the Tony Drama Desk Award and the Outer Critics Circle Awards with her performance as Essie. She has also appeared on Broadway as a character in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde as well as the original part of Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she received a nomination for the Tony Award. She was born and grew up in Denver Ashford now splits her days between Los Angeles and New York.
