Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson, an American actress, is known for her portrayals of Buffy Summers and Rebecca Becky Granger. She has also appeared as the roles in the telefilm Nightingales and the NBC series of the same title (which lasted only a few episodes) and Erica Paget from the CBS Drama Early Edition, and Marlowe Viccellio on the TV show Psych. Born in California, she became interested in acting as a young child. She began working in the industry of advertising and appeared in a variety of commercials. In one episode, she appeared on the sitcom of NBC, It's Your Turn in 1984. A year later she appeared in the romance comedy Pretty in Pink of 1986, she made her big-screen debut. Her most famous feature is her blonde hair and the breathless voice that she employs. In recent years Swan has been playing secondary characters. In 1989 she won the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
