Katherine Heigl has revealed her childhood in a white bubble, and how this experience impacted the way she cared for her adoptive multiracial children. In an interview with actress Katherine Heigl, who plays "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy", actress revealed that her appearance didn't concern her. However, when talking to her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society treated them, she became aware of the stark differences they were. "I I asked my sister Meg to tell me if she'd received the same treatment when she was walking around with our parents and a different way in the time she was by herself without them. She replied "Oh, yes, every time!" Heigl explained to Parents: "That was when I realized that my naivety had made me feel." She became enraged by the incident, and decided to channel her anger into assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been together for thirteen years. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is an Black 8-year-old girl who adopted in the year 2012.
