Katherine Heigl reveals her experiences as a child within a "white bubble" affected the way she raised her family of multiracial origins. In an interview with her, Katherine Heigl said recent interview that, with regards to skin color the issue isn't that important. However, after talking to her adopted sister from South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats people of different races. "I asked Meg what she thought about being treated differently when she went out with our parents and the times she was out alone. She answered, "Oh yeah, always!" It made me realize I was naive," Heigl said to Parents. She admitted to becoming frustrated, but decided use that anger in order to assist her adopted daughters. Heigl has a son who is four years with Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. They have took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8), who is black in 2009.
